1. Introduction
Welcome to GOAT — AI Sports Card Scanner (“App”). The App was previously named “Sabio”, and the earlier name may still appear on the App Store and on some purchase screens. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “you”) and GOAT (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) concerning your access to and use of our App, the website goatcards.app, services, features, content, and technologies (together, the “Service”).
By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Service.
These Terms supplement Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “EULA”). In the event of any conflict, the EULA controls for matters relating to App distribution and Apple’s role.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or older if required by your jurisdiction) to use this App. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. User Accounts and Registration
The App creates an anonymous account for you when you first open it. To keep your collection across devices and after reinstalling, you may sign in with Apple or Google. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your information
- Safeguard your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
You are responsible for all activities under your account.
4. License Grant
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe intellectual property rights
- Transmit malware, spam, or harmful code
- Attempt to reverse engineer the App
- Exploit the App for unauthorized purposes
6. Intellectual Property
All content and intellectual property rights in the App and the website, including but not limited to software, code, logos, trademarks, and design elements, are owned by GOAT or its licensors. Card brands, player names, and logos remain the property of their respective owners. GOAT claims no affiliation with or endorsement by any card manufacturer or sports league.
7. Payment and Subscriptions
Free use and GOAT Pro. The App can be used for free with a limited number of card scans (currently three). GOAT Pro is an auto-renewing subscription that removes this limit: it gives you unlimited card scans and price estimates for as long as it is active. On some purchase screens and in your Apple Account the subscription may still appear under its earlier name, “Sabio Pro”.
Plans. GOAT Pro is offered as a weekly plan and a yearly plan. From time to time we may offer the yearly plan at a special price; such an offer is a separate plan that renews at its own price. The title, length and price of a plan are shown on the purchase screen before you confirm, in your local currency. Prices differ by country and may change for new subscribers.
- Payments are processed by Apple, with subscription state managed by our third-party provider
- Payment will be charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase
Auto-Renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your Apple Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you selected.
Managing and Cancelling Subscriptions. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time in your Apple Account settings: open Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
Restoring Purchases. If you reinstall the App or move to a new device, use “Restore purchase” in the App’s Settings to regain access with the same Apple Account.
Refunds. Purchases are made through Apple, and refund requests are handled by Apple under its own policies.
Free Trial. If a subscription is offered with a trial period, during which you can experience premium features at no cost or at a reduced price (“Trial”), it will automatically renew to a paid subscription at the price shown in the App unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the Trial expires. Any unused portion of a free Trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
8. User Content
8.1 Responsibility for Content
Card photographs, notes, collection names and descriptions, your public profile, and any other content you create in the App (“User Content”) are your responsibility. You retain ownership and grant GOAT a limited license to process User Content solely to provide identification, valuation, cloud sync, and the shared pages and public profile you choose to create.
8.2 Prohibited Content
You agree not to upload any illegal, offensive, infringing, misleading, or inappropriate content. We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, remove, or restrict content at our discretion.
8.3 Shared Pages and Public Profile
Links you create in the App publish a snapshot of the selected cards, together with your public profile, to a public page on goatcards.app. Anyone with the link can view it until you stop sharing in the App. You are responsible for what you publish, including your nickname, display name and contact details: do not publish anything you have no right to share, and do not impersonate another person or brand. Links created without signing in with Apple or Google expire after 90 days, and the number of pages you can publish per day is limited. Content on a shared page can be reported at goatcards.app/report, and we may remove a page or a nickname that violates these Terms.
8.4 Dealings Between Collectors
GOAT is not a marketplace and is not a party to any contact, sale or trade arranged through a shared page or a public profile. We do not verify cards, their condition or value, or the people involved. Any such dealing is solely between you and the other person.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service may contain links to or integrate with third-party services (such as Apple, Google Firebase, RevenueCat, Superwall, and the AI providers Anthropic and OpenAI). We are not responsible for third-party content, services, or privacy practices.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. Card identifications and price estimates are generated by AI, are informational only, and should not be relied on for trading or insurance purposes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GOAT and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of your country of residence to the extent required by consumer-protection law, and otherwise by the laws applicable to Apple’s standard EULA.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Effective Date” and/or providing notice through the App.
